Its history dates back to 1304 and takes us to the deep Middle Ages. More than seven centuries ago, this church was completed and became the center of local community life. By the time Slovakia was formed, this church had already stood here and witnessed all the important events that took place in Rožňava. Relics have always played an extraordinary role in history. They were not just objects of the cult, but they were associated to believers with what is timeless and sacred. The presence of these relics makes this place in the afternoon more than just a historical monument; it makes it a place where people for centuries have come to express themselves in silence and prayer.
