The Biely Kamen Castle, situated above the city of Svätý Jur in the Pezinok district of Bratislava, is an interesting cultural monument of Slovakia. This castle complex was originally built in the second half of the 13th century and represents the ruins of the Gothic castle, which testify to the history and architectural tradition of the area.

The castle's creation is closely linked to the historical development of the region. In the 9th century, on the opposite side of the Svätý Jur Valley, there was an older fort, which served as the seat of the Hunt-Poznanov family. This family acquired territory in 1209, and chose the original fortress over the castle Nestich. In the middle of the 13th century he decided to build a new stone castle on the opposite side of the valley, which was first mentioned in 1271. The newly built castle was replaced by an extensive castle as a residence of the genus St.

The architecture of the castle is characteristic of Gothic building style. The castle complex included quite large hills, which have been preserved until now in the state of advanced decay. The core of the castle was protected by the fortification of irregular oval shape with the remains of the Gothic brick vault on the eastern wing and the vast encircled courtyard space. The 14th - century inventory states that the castle had two towers - one large in the middle and the other smaller, as well as rows of buildings inside. In addition, farm buildings were located around the outer wall.

Ownership of the castle passed through several noble families. After the extinct of the Counts of Horoyur in 1526 it was acquired by the Zapoľsky genus, and later became the property of Stefan Ilesház in the 17th century. The castle was probably abandoned at the end of the Middle Ages or in 1663 in connection with the Turkish plundering of Saint George.

Today, the White Stone castle is a cultural monument, registered under the number of the ÚZPF 430. Its area includes several objects, including a tower of defense and gates, a trench of circular, wall walls of wall, a castle palace, or a fragment of a bridge. Although the remains of the castle are in advanced state of decay, their presence offers a view of the historical and architectural traditions of the area.

Access to the castle is also interesting for visitors. Ruins are located in the forest above the city district of Svätý Jura, near Bratislava - Nestich. From the city center there is a road marked with tourist signs.

The White Stone Castle is an example of historical heritage that brings understanding to the past and architecture of the region. His visit offers the opportunity to get closer to the cultural history of Slovakia and to gain new knowledge about life in the Middle Ages.
