Evangelical church in Štítnik, located in the village Štítnik in the Košice region, is one of the most important Gothic monuments on Gemer. Originally a Catholic temple dedicated to the Virgin Mary was established in the 13th to 15th centuries. After the Reformation, it became the center of the Evangelical community. Its three-ship basilica with starry and net vaults, a massive tower and large wall paintings is a unique monument.
The first written mention of the church dates from 1355. The original one-ship church probably stood on the site of today's sacristy, which is the oldest part of the church and comes from the second third of the 14th century.
