Radvanský manor house is a Renaissance building from the first half of the 16th century, located in the town district Radvaň. The manor house was built on Gothic foundations and is part of the wider area.
The building has a single-track structure, two floors, four towers, a closed yard and a loggia on both sides. The interior contains Renaissance vaults or flat ceiling from the 19th century. At the time of its creation and later in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, the manor house has undergone several rebuildings, while the southern tract is in the empire style.
The area records the Monument Office of the Slovak Republic under the number of the ÚZPF 73 and includes five objects: Renaissance wall wall of the 16th century, round bastion, the manor house itself, natural-landscape park created before the year 1860 and ruin of the iceberg from the 19th century.
The last reconstruction of the building took place in 1958. In 1994 the building was transferred to the property of Banská Bystrica, where between 1994 and 1997 the archives were located. During the period of non-use, the status of the manor house was evaluated by the Monument Office of the Slovak Republic as de-solute.
In 2009 the Slovak University of Health participated in the interest of the manor house, but the planned reconstruction worth 2.5 million Euro was not realized until 2012. In 2013 Banská Bystrica approved long-term rental of the building Academy of Arts for a symbolic fee of 1 euro per year. Rector of the school Matúš Oľha expressed the intentions of opening the premises to the public for exhibition, concert and social events.
The Academy of Arts committed to invest EUR 1.65 million from Norwegian funds in renovation. In December 2014, the mayor Ján Nosko announced a subsidy of EUR 1 million from the government. The reconstruction started on 15 April 2016 and the search for funds for the next stages of reconstruction continues.
