Tips for visitors

The peasant settlement in Ždiar is suitable for visiting in the autumn, when the colorful color of trees contrasts with wooden buildings. In the summer months it is better to visit in the morning or evening when there are fewer people in place and light is softer.

The settlement is available by car. For accurate information, consult local or on the official site of memory. For visitors who prefer public transport, it is appropriate to find a connection to Ždiar and then get there by foot.

It is advisable for a tour to have comfortable shoes, as some parts of the area may be uneven or covered with grass. It is good to take a raincoat or a coat to protect yourself from wind because of the vet's environment. It will also help map or GPS to make it easier to navigate around.

The best photographic sites are in front of the folk house and around the barn, where the overall architecture and details of wooden structures can be captured. Contrast colors of wood and nature around is interesting. The ideal light for photography is morning or evening when light is softer and indirect.

It is appropriate to take information about other places around the Prešov region for visitors who want to take part in other experiences. Children may be interested in walking around the folk house and barn, where they can observe wooden structures. It is appropriate to explain to them that they are kept at a safe distance from the buildings and do not harm them. They may play in private space in the surrounding area if permitted.
