Počas vojny zostal Dom ľudový zachovaný, hoci sa zmenil spôsob života obyvateľov. Po skončení vojny sa ľudia opäť venovali pôdohospodárstvu a remeslu.
V dome sa nachádzalo schránisko na ukladanie predmetov, o ktorého obsahu kolovali legendy.
Dnes môžu návštevníci, vrátane detí, Dom ľudový preskúmať a zistiť, ako v ňom ľudia žili.
