We welcome you to Skalica, a city with a rich history and a unique atmosphere where time seems to slow down. Right now you are standing in front of one of the important monuments of this city, which is the Paulín monastery. When you look at it, you see above all the peace and moderation that are typical of places dedicated to prayer and discussion. This object dominates the surroundings and reminds us of the time when religious orders were the center of the social and spiritual life of the region. Stop for a moment and simply see the overall impression of this building. Although it may seem subtle at first sight, every detail of it conceals a story about faith and endurance. The Paulín monastery in Skalica has witnessed many changes that have taken place in this city and the entire Trnava region. Although the exact dates of its creation and the names of architects who designed it remained in the mysteries of time and are not exactly documented today, the very presence of this building in the urban area speaks for itself. The monastery was created as a place of refuge, study and spiritual practice for paulins who left their mark in this community. Now I want you to take a closer look at the architecture itself. Look at the overall structure of the building and see how organically it is written into the fabric of the city. When exploring the facade and the overall form of the object, feel the harmony of its lines. In this case, not only a particular style is important, but rather a sense of stability and permanence, which from the building is desired. Note how architecture reflects the needs of monks, for whom it was important to separate themselves from the deep noise of the world and create space for inner peace. Let us now consider who walked in these corridors and who prayed in these rooms. Although the specific names of the historical personalities directly associated with this monastery are not specified in our documents, we know that life in the paulín caste was governed by strict discipline and deep devotion. Imagine the morning prayers, the whisper of monks in libraries, and the silence that overcrowded these walls for centuries. Every stone and every wall extension testifies to thousands of hours of work and devotion to the people who lived and worked here. It is in this unknownness of some details, however, that gewisse is hidden interesting. Skalica is a city full of secrets and a paulín monastery is one of them. The fact that we do not know exactly who built it or in which particular year it was completed gives this place a certain deep dimension. It's like an open book from which some sides faded, but the overall story remains clear and strong. This mystery makes us more involved in our own imagination and try to imagine what events have taken place here and what conversations have taken place. Now sense the atmosphere that surrounds you. Skalica is known for its charm and this monastery is an integral part of it. When you look at the building again, try to imagine how it changed over time, how the sun shone on it in May, and how it was covered by snow during the winter months of many centuries. It is a place that has survived generations and is still standing here to remind us of our common past. Allow yourself to stay in silence for a while longer in front of this monument. In today's ruined world, such a place is a reminder of the value of peace and concentration. The Paulín monastery is not only a collection of walls and roofs, but a symbol of the spiritual dimension of Skalica. I call you to continue your discovery of this beautiful city. Skalica has many other gems waiting for your visit, and each one complements the mosaic of the history of this region. I believe that a visit to this monastery has helped you to feel the spirit of this city better and that you are leaving with a sense of inner peace. Thank you for your attention and I wish you a pleasant next walk down the Skalice alleys. Please like it in this town and let every next step lead you to new interesting discoveries. Goodbye.

In spring, the monastery develops a breathtaking atmosphere when rich sacral decorations combine with the arrival of a new life. Green leaves of trees and flowery grasses create a spectacular contrast with dark columns and frescoes that become more pronounced in the daily world. In the morning it is quieter in the monastery when, in addition to visitors, they return to their homes. Clothes are suitable for frosty spring gout - soft layers that are easy to remove and shoes for continuous mixing.
