Welcome to the Royal Hungarian Chamber, also known as the City Palace. You are in the Old Town of Bratislava. Let's look at this object and penetrate the past of Hungary.
The palace was designed by architect G.B. Martinelli between 1753 and 1756. It served as the seat of the Hungarian Royal Chamber, which was from 1531 to 1782 the highest financial institution of Hungary. The building was the centre of economy and politics.
The facade of the object is in Baroque style. Watch stucco ornaments and symmetrical composition that testify to the wealth and prestige of the time.
Between 1802 and 1848, the palace served as the seat of the Hungarian dreamer. Here were adopted March laws that modernised the Hungarian legal system. Major political changes have taken place during this period.
Although the palace was designed by G.B. Martinelli, many people who worked and made decisions remained unknown.

For children
Imagine you're teleporting in time right now. It's not just a few years ago, it's 273 years ago. The year is 1753 and the streets of Bratislava-Old Town are completely different than you know them. Instead of noisy cars, all you hear is horse-sniffing about stony roads and rustling long dresses. It was then that one of the most important buildings in the whole region - the palace that was then called the Royal Chamber - began to grow up here.

Seasonal recommendations
In spring there is a refreshing atmosphere in Bratislava and the city slowly awakens into life. Fine spring light beautifully highlights the details of historical architecture around the memorial. I recommend arriving in the morning, when the chamber is calmer and the attendance is even milder. Due to variable weather it is advisable to take the coating.
The summer season brings the biggest influx of tourists, so it is best to come immediately at the opening to avoid long rows. In the interior of the palace you will find a pleasant cold that provides the necessary comfort from intense heat. Choose light, airy clothes and remember enough water while walking through the historic center.
Autumn in the Old The city operates melancholy and golden leaves in the surroundings creates a romantic environment. The atmosphere is much calmer than in summer, which allows deeper immersion in history without unnecessary cancellation. The ideal time to visit is the early evening when the light is brighter. Do not forget comfortable shoes suitable for walks in the old streets.
In winter the city is dominated by Advent atmosphere and the days are significantly shorter. The interior of the chamber acts more cozy at this time and serves as an ideal refuge from frost and wind.
