Welcome to the picturesque village Osturňa. You have just come before one of the most important symbols of this country - the peasant settlement known as the Court of Peasant. You stand in a place where time has stopped and where every gate, every wooden beam and every stone basically tells a story about a life that was once completely different from ours today. When you look around, try to turn off the noise of the modern world for a moment and just perceive the atmosphere of this place. Do you feel the peace and, at the same time, the special power of tradition that emanates from this environment?

This settlement is not just a building. It is living proof of how people in this region, in Prešov region, were able to create a home in symbiosis with nature, which was also a workplace and a refuge. Although the exact period of its origin and the names of the people who built it remain in the shadow of history and are not known to us, its presence here speaks of centuries of constant duration. The unknown chronology of this monument, however, does not devalue it; on the contrary, it gives it some timelessness. It's not just an object from a specific year, it's the result of a long process of adapting to the local environment, generations living here, working and building their identity.

Now, when you look at the overall schedule of the buildings ahead, notice their functionality. The farming estate was designed according to the aesthetic trends of its time, but according to practical needs. Feel this organic harmony. The settlement is built to create a closed, protected world. Look at how individual structures are stratified. Each part had a clearly defined purpose - from living quarters where families met in the warmth after long days of work to spaces for the economy. Perceive this divided but interconnected structure. It's like an organism where every part has to work to survive the whole.

Feel the textures of the materials before your eyes. Although the exact architectural plan is unknown, you can see how resources were used directly from the surroundings. The wood structure, the stone foundations and the way the elements are connected reflect the deep knowledge of the material. Look at the gates, the walls, and how these structures fit into the country. It's not architecture that wants to dominate the surroundings, it's architecture that's trying to be a poison to it. Feel this humility before nature, which you see in every detail.

Although we do not know the names of the specific persons who led this court, we can imagine their lives. Imagine the mornings when the day began in this settlement before the sun rose above the mountain peaks. Imagine the work that was a constant cycle - from the hay days to the time of the fruit harvest. Every man who lived here was a part of this great colobie. This settlement was the center of family life, a place where traditions were passed on, where children were taught, and where older people, knowing their own past, were preparing to leave. Even though their names are wasted on time, their spirit remains in its design and reach us today.

There's something mysterious that might interest you. It's this unknown chronology and the unknown creators. We often ask who exactly laid these stones and who carved these beams. This uncertainty creates a fascinating mystery. This settlement is like an open book missing captains' names, but the story remains clear and strong. It is this anonymity that allows us to see not only the history of one particular farmer in this place, but the whole history of humanity that seeks stability, security and home. It is this constant pursuit of survival that is reflected in every detail of this monument.

Now I want to allow you to discover again. Don't just stay at this one point. The osturna is full of such small wonders, which together form a unique mosaic of folk architecture. Continue your walk, feel quiet, follow the details and be carried away by the atmosphere of this country. Any next step can lead you to a new understanding of what the world once looked like around us. Thank you for spending time with us and for looking at this world through the eyes of history. We wish you a pleasant and inspiring journey with the rest of this picturesque village. Goodbye.
