Welcome to the village Listener, in the heart of the Banská Bystrica region, where time seems to stop and nature in harmony with man writes its slow story. Right now you are facing a place that is the embodiment of simplicity, humility, and tireless work of our ancestors. Before you lies the peasant settlement, also known as the farmyard. At the same time, the first sight of the object may give rise to a feeling of peace, raising questions about who lived here, what dreams he had and what challenges he had to overcome every day. Feel this atmosphere, breathe the air of this country, and allow yourself to cut off the modern world for a moment so that you can fully immerse yourself in the spirits of the past that still exist in this space.

When we stop at the question of the establishment of this settlement, we find ourselves in an area where history is not written in official chronicles with precise dates, but in the ground itself and in the structure of buildings. The exact chronology of the construction of this court is not known, which makes it a fascinating object. In many cases these settlements were built gradually, supplemented and adapted according to the needs of the family who lived in them. This court is not just a set of buildings, but a witness to centuries of peasant life in our region. In Banská Bystrica region, where the terrain dictated the way of revival and architecture, similar settlements arose as basic economic and social units. They were designed to withstand harsh weather and provide refuge for those for whom the earth was the only source of life and the greatest master.

Now take a closer look at the architecture in front of you. Although we do not know the specific names of architects, because these buildings were the work of local masters and owners themselves, note the overall composition and schedule of the premises. The farmer's settlement is basically an organism complex. Look at how the buildings are oriented towards each other. Note how the court is defined, which forms the centre of the entire economy. It was this inner space that was the place of the most intense movement, where work and home life were linked. Follow the walls lines and the way the building naturally fits into the surrounding landscape. Take a sense of the proportion of objects and think about how they have been arranged so that each part of the settlement performs its particular function, from housing to storing the fruits of the ground and shelters for animals. Everything here had its meaning, nothing was unnecessary, everything was subordinate to practicality and survival.

If we look for specific personalities associated with this place, we will find that history is silent. There are no records of famous owners or significant historical figures who stay overnight here. At first glance, it may seem to be a shortcoming, but it is actually the strongest story in this case. This court belonged to no known person from the books of history, but it belonged to ordinary people. It belonged to fathers, mothers, sons and daughters who lovingly built their homeland. It is in this anonymity that the true value of the farm estate lies. It represents thousands of unknown lives that shaped our country. Imagine the morning rising at sunrise, the smell of fresh bread, the sound of the animals in the yard, and the quiet conversation of the family during evening rest. These invisible clues are present in this space stronger than any engraved inscription.

Now let's stop at something that may seem like a mystery. Why don't we know so much about this place? Why are his beginnings dull? This ignorance is a deep symbol in itself. For thousands of years, farming culture has been a cultural oral, not a written one. Knowledge was passed on from generation to generation by simple discipline, working hand by hand, and telling stories by fire. The fact that we do not know the exact year of construction or the name of the builder tells us that it was not fame or documentation that was important to the people of that time, but functionality and survival. The very identity of the people who lived here remains a mystery. Who was the first to lay the foundation stone? What dreams did he have for his children? This quietly robbing history is forcing us to reflect on what we leave behind. The seat in The Listener is like an open book in which some parties are ripped out, but the overall meaning of the story remains clear. It's a story about perseverance, man's relationship with soil, and humility before nature.

Let's take this part of our journey slowly. You're witnessing a time that teaches us to slow down. The farming estate is not just a historical monument, it is a memento about where we came from and how simple life was in its fundamental essence. I'll invite you to go around the object quietly now. Notice the details that may have escaped at first sight, feel the texture of the surfaces, and try to imagine the rhythm of the day that has been repeated here for decades. Let your intuition and feelings guide you.

Thank you for your shared walk through this quiet corner of history. I hope you found peace and inspiration in this settlement. You can now continue to explore the beauties of the village Očedlo and the surrounding Banská Bystrica region. May this experience remain in your heart as a reminder of the value of simplicity and respect for our roots. Have a nice day and a peaceful journey on.

The farmer's seat in the Počítl, known as the Court of Farmers, is one of the historical monuments in Slovakia. This place is located in an area where people have lived in the past, who have worked in fields and shades every day.

The courtyard was a place full of life. Here were houses with wide doors open to the world and a garden full of fruit orchard. People here were producing food that was sold on markets all over the county. Every morning, sun was announced over hilly mountains, and adults worked in fields while children played in nearby forests.
