Welcome to the picturesque village Osturňa. Right now, when you stand before this peasant settlement, you may feel a strange sense of connection with a past that is firmly rooted in this earth. The court of the peasant, as you see it in front of you, is not just a mere set of buildings. He is a silent witness to a life that has been going on for centuries, and he is a symbol of man's struggle, effort, and deep relationship with the soil. Feel the atmosphere of this place, feel the peace that prevails here, and try to imagine the days and nights that raced here until the world began to change as quickly as we know it today.

You know, when you get around, you might wonder who exactly created this place and when it first started living here. Although accurate historical records of the origin of this particular settlement are unknown, its presence in this country speaks a very clear word. In this region, in Prešov region, the farming activity was a fundamental pillar of existence. Every settlement, every court, was basically a small, independent economy, a centre where work, family and the necessary cooperation with nature met. This settlement was not built for glory or for demonstration of power, but for survival and for building a home in an environment that required constant attention and strength from people. It is the result of the generations who lived, worked and built their future on this peasant land.

Let's take a closer look at what you have right in front of you. Now when you look at the overall shape and layout of buildings, pay attention to how they are established in the country. Although we do not know the names of architects who designed this settlement, we see a deep, natural logic in it. There is nothing random in traditional farming architecture. Every space, every wall and every building layout had a clear, practical purpose. See how these structures complement each other and how they form a closed, functional entity designed to serve the needs of people, their economy and their animals. Look at how buildings are oriented and how they communicate. It's an architecture that doesn't come out of art books, but from the need for man to live in harmony with his environment and his work. See this functionality, this pragmatism that resonates in every detail of this settlement.

Now that you have looked at the overall structure, pay attention to what this place has hidden in its shadows. Although you will not find the names of great kings, generals, or famous artists in historical documents about this particular place, this place is filled with real, human history. These are the stories of unknown peasants, fathers, and mothers who have done their work here every day. Their lives were rhythmized by sunrise and sunset, changes in seasons, and a tireless cycle of sowing and harvesting. Every step on this earth, every wall you see here, is connected to the hands of the people who built and maintained it. It is the history of the anonymous heroes of more everyday life who shaped the face of this country with their perseverance and love for home.

At this point, you may think of something else. What's the silence that runs here? Maybe you're interested in the uncertainty that this place raises. It's the unknown you feel that makes this yard so fascinating. Unknown time of origin, unknown creators, missing names in records. However, this void in history does not prevent us from seeing this place as important. On the contrary, this uncertainty gives us room for our own imagination. This ignorance forces us to be humbler about time and what we really know about our ancestors. It is one big mystery that urges us to stop and think about how quickly the time is passing and how little we are left in the written records, but how much remains in the very essence of the place we have created.

So feel this combination of reality and mystery. You stand before a place that is simultaneously very tangible in its structure and at the same time very incomprehensible in its history. It's a fascinating contrast you shouldn't just let go.

Now that you have refreshed this first experience from the Court of Farmers, we invite you to continue your journey. The tournament still has many secrets waiting for your discovery. Every journey in this village, every next step can lead you to new knowledge of how people in this region once lived. Continue to explore this country, see its beauty, look for stories that are hidden in every stone, in every meadow and in every view of the surrounding hills. May this walk bring you peace and new inspirations. Thank you for spending time with us, and we wish you a beautiful and enriching journey through the rest of this picturesque area.
