Welcome to the village of Cífer, in the heart of the Trnava region, where one of the local historical pearls lies in front of you right now. You're standing in front of a building we know as a Zichy mansion, or even a small mansion. The first sight of this building can be evoked by a sense of gewissej mystery, because the building carries traces of several epocs that broke through and created its present form. Look at the overall extent of the construction and see the atmosphere of this place, which has been witnessing social and social development in this region for almost three hundred centuries. Let's just crash back in a few centuries. To understand what lies ahead, we must return to the second half of the eighteenth century. It was during this period that the basic Baroque building you see was created. Baroque was a time of grandeur and representativeness, and although it is a smaller manor house, its origins testify to the aspirations and assets of families who worked in this area. At that time it was not only about housing, but above all about the symbol of power and status within the local hierarchy. As you look at the architecture, note the interesting contrast that arose in the building. Although the basic structure and layout of the baroque building, your eyes are likely to catch something else when you focus on the facade. Note the details on the wall surface. What you see on the front is not a baroque, but a secession. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the building was rebuilt, which gave it modern, very trendy times. The secession brought organic shapes and new aesthetics into the architecture, which then replaced the stricter rules of previous styles. It is fascinating to see one building adapt to the taste of its owners over decades. Let us now talk about the people who lived and made decisions in these walls. The manor house in Cífer was not just a stationary home but a center of social life. The building originally belonged to the Ziči family, from which the name of the Zichy manor house probably comes. Later, however, ownership moved to the Palfi family. The Pálfis were one of the most important noble families in the territory of today's Slovakia, known for their property and political influence. Imagine the discussions and plans in these rooms within the Palfi family and what luxury they had to surround the premises to match their social status. But hey, let's change the image of aristocratic societies for something much more accessible and noisier. Each historic building has its own secret or unexpected turn in fate. The interesting thing about Zichy's mansion is that in the past there was an inn in the building. It's a fascinating contrast. Imagine the transition from the private residence of noble families, where family matters were quietly resolved, to a place where ordinary people met, where drinks were drunk, stories were told, and perhaps local disputes or trade agreements were settled. This fact adds a human dimension to the building and shows that history is not only about dates and names of nobles and nobles, but also about the everyday life of ordinary people. Now when you look back at the facade and see the overall form of the building, try to imagine how the sound around it changed. From the quiet Baroque gardens, through secession reconstructions at the beginning of the last century, to the noise of the inn, which was sometimes based here. It is a place that combines the elegance of the nobility and the ground floor of the hostel. Dear visitor, Zichy's manor house in the Cífer is an example of how time takes one era to another. From the Baroque foundation from the 18th century, through secessional details from the 20th century, to its various functions throughout history. We recommend you now for a while to quietly admire this combination of styles and perceive the brilliant intersecting of baroque and secession on one facade. Thank you for sharing this short trip to the history of the Cífer. We hope that this view of the Little Manor House has enriched you and that you have felt the spirit of the past that still persists in these walls. Now we invite you to further explore the beauty of this region. We wish you a pleasant day and a pleasant continuation in your journey.
