Welcome to Jasen village. You stand in front of the historical area, which hugs Dobákský and Pivkovský manor house. At this moment you are faced with a set of buildings that testify to the ancient social structure of this region and to what the settlement of the local nobility and landowners looked like in the past. Feel the atmosphere of this place, where history and the nature of Žilina region are connected. It is a space that invites you to stop and think about the fates of the people who lived here many years ago, worked and shaped the shape of this country.

When you look at these buildings, you may wonder exactly when they were created and who was behind their construction. Although precise chronology and the names of specific architects in the available records are not detailed, the very existence of these curies tells us much about the historical context. Manor houses in this sense were not just luxurious residences, but centers of estate management. They were places where administrative matters were dealt with, where taxes were collected and where power was concentrated within the local community. The current state of the complex in Jasenová reflects the long process of changes that passed through the nobility of the territory of Northern Slovakia.

Now I want to look at the architecture itself. As you are standing right in front of the buildings, I recommend you perceive the overall composition of the complex. Note how buildings are arranged in space. Look at the facade and watch the lines of the walls. Although time has left its mark, you can still sense the hierarchy of spaces that was typical of such curies. Note the details of windows and entrances that define the character of these buildings. It is not just the walls themselves, but also the relationship of buildings to the surrounding terrain. Everything in this area was designed to express the status of owners, while performing practical asset management functions.

Let us now consider the people involved. Although the specific names of the personalities that would be documented in each detail are not primarily in this case, the names Dobákský and Pivkovský manor house directly refer us to families who owned this space. Imagine the life that had to take place in these corridors. Who was walking around, what they were talking about in these rooms and what decisions were made here, which affected the lives of hundreds of inhabitants of the surrounding villages. Every corner of this area bears a silent story of the power, family ties and responsibilities that came with the ownership of such a significant residence.

You may now wonder if there is a great mystery or a secret associated with this place. In the case of Dobákský and Pivkovský manor house, the most interesting is their duality and how two courses meet in one area. It is fascinating to think about how these two entities overcame in time. Often such places witness silent conflicts or, conversely, close cooperation between families. The silence itself that now surrounds these walls is a mystery. It invites us to complete the missing details of history with our own imagination, relying on what the buildings themselves tell us.

Now that you have looked at the basic features of this historic complex, I invite you to take a slow walk in the area. Feel the texture of the walls, watch the game of light and shadow on the facades and give yourself a moment of peace. Let your curiosity guide you and try to feel the spirit of the past that still persists in Jasen. Each step after this area is a step back to the time when the rhythm of the day determined the sunrise and the needs of the estate.

Thank you for your shared walk through this historic space. I hope that your visit to Dobáksky and Pivkovský mansion brought you a new look at the rich history of Žilina region. I wish you the pleasant rest of the day and pleasant discovering other beauties of our country. Goodbye.

For children

Imagine sitting on a soft meadow in the Žilina region, and the wind is shut about you. You're not here today, but at a time when only horses and goats were moving along the slopes, and the only noisy animal was the rooster that rang at dawn. This country has its mysterious places, and one of them is hiding in the village Jasenová. It's not a castle with high towers where you might be surprised by a sword guard. It's something else, something more peaceful, but full of history waiting for someone to discover it.
