Welcome to Turčianska Stiavnička. Right now you are standing in front of the Révay Manor House, which with its site forms an important part of the local country. When you look at it, you will see a building in front of you that testifies to the ancient knowledge and power of the families who worked in the area. Feel the atmosphere of this place where history and nature are linked and where every detail tells its own, although sometimes silent story. Although the exact dates of creation and the names of architects who designed this building are not specified in the available records, the actual presence of the manor house in this location tells us much about the social structure of the region. In the past, the manor houses were the centers of the report, the benefactors of the nobility, and the symbols of the status. Révay mansion in Turčianska Štiavnička is not only an ordinary building, but a representation of an era when these settlements were the heart of the economic and social life of surrounding villages. Now slowly focus with us on the architecture itself. When you look at the facade and overall layout of the area, note the harmony with which the building fits into its surroundings. Look at the lines of construction and see the proportions that define its character. Although we do not know exactly who built this building, it is clear that it was an object designed to develop respect and provide comfort to its inhabitants. Look through the details of the facade and think about how many generations of people have passed through this door and how many conversations have been heard in these corridors. Let us now come to a historical context. The name Révay mansion naturally leads us to the Révay family, who in the Kingdom of Hungary represented one of the influential noble families. Their trail is deeply rooted in Turkey. Although the specific stories associated with this particular home can be foggy over time, the very existence of the complex in Turčianska Štiavnička is indicative of the strategic importance of this place. Imagine how important discussions were taking place on these premises, how the governance issues of the estate were dealt with, and how trends in period housing and management were reflected in the area. Every historical monument has its secrets. In the case of the Révay manor house, perhaps the greatest mystery is what is left unregistered. The absence of precise chronology and names of concrete builders creates room for our imagination. Who was the first to lay the foundation stone? What dreams and ambitions did its founders put into this building? It is this unknownness that gives the place some charm and makes us more aware of what we see today than rely only on dry facts from archives. It is an invitation to become detectives of our own history and to try to read from the details of the building the answers to questions that remained without a written record. Now that you've looked at the main elements of the area and thought about its origin, I suggest you take a moment of silence and reflection. See how light is broken down on the walls of the manor house and how the building connects with the surrounding environment of Turčianska Štiavnička. It is a place where time has stopped and where you can escape for a moment from everyday rush and feel connected to the past. Finally, I invite you to continue to go through the area in an anomaly rhythm, without haste. Let yourself be guided by your curiosity and try to perceive details that may have escaped at first sight. The Révay mansion has witnessed many centuries, and although it cannot tell us everything in words, it speaks to us through its presence in the atmosphere. Thank you for a walk together in this historic place. We hope that your visit to the Révay mansion enriched you and that you are leaving with a sense of recognition for the cultural heritage of the Turk. We wish you a pleasant rest of the day and pleasant travelling through other beautiful places of our region. Goodbye.

Seasonal recommendations

Spring In March and April, the Révay mansion is bought in the light of the morning sun when the forests around Turčianska Štiavnička turn into green and purple tones. Spring rains bring the smell of flowers and herbs, while older oaks and linters develop leaves that sting the facade. The atmosphere is peaceful, which is suitable for a quiet walk before the summer season. The object is recommended to visit early in the morning when the slanting light highlights the details of architecture. Clothes should be layered because spring days are unstable and mornings are cool. During the rainfall we recommend waterproof footwear and a dalmatian.

Summer In June and July the Révay mansion is in full summer. Sunny noon depicts its silhouette in blue heaven and the surrounding nature blooms. In addition to the manor house and park, visitors can use forest paths. The atmosphere is alive; the main season brings more people, although most of them remain in the surrounding tourist centres. Visit the object in the morning or later afternoon when the sun is not so hot. Clothing should be easy and protect against sunlight - the hat, sunglasses, and breathable fabrics are the foundation. In the summer months we recommend shoes suitable for trails, which can be slippery after rains.

Fall In September and October, the neighborhood of the manor house will turn into a variety of rusty, yellow and green colors. The dark light gives the building a mysterious hope. The air is clean and smells like wet ground and fallen apples. The atmosphere is peaceful, suitable for photography. The building is suitable to visit in the morning, when the fog melts and the light is softer. In the winter months, we recommend having a rainfall due to frequent rainfall.

Winter In December and January, the Révay mansion is covered with snow, which settles on roofs, trees and paths. Winter light, falling low above the horizon, emphasizes architecture and creates long shadows on frozen roads. The atmosphere is quiet, suitable for winter walks. We recommend a visit in noon when the light is bright enough. Clothing should be warm - jacket, gloves, cap and waterproof footwear are the foundation. It is advisable to have a warm drink in winter months.
